What if the covid? Central directive for nationwide mock drill on December 27- Covid| Central Government Mock drill| Manorama News

New Delhi ∙ States and Union Territories have been instructed to conduct nationwide mock drills in view of rising cases of Covid-19 in various countries including China. The Ministry of Health has announced that Mokdrill should be conducted in all health centers on December 27.

The aim of the mock drill is to prepare the health facilities to face the covid. According to the letter sent by Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan to the State Health Secretaries, the Health Department should conduct the mock drill under the supervision of the District Collector.

Availability of isolation wards, ICU, ventilator etc. in the states will be checked through this. Mokdrill also aims to ensure necessary health workers, covid testing centers, medicines, masks and PPE kits etc. to deal with the covid situation.
