What if all comedians had their “Maison Stéphane Fallu”

Several comedians gathered at the Chambly Cultural Center last Tuesday to help Maison Stéphane Fallu raise money. The Journal de Chambly took the opportunity to ask them what the cause would be endorsed by them if everyone also had their own eponymous house.

Stéphane Fallu, Dominic Paquet, Mike Ward, Laurent Paquin, Geneviève Gagnon, Dave Gaudet, Doug and Jeff, Mike Beaudoin and Samuel Vigneault made up the lineup of artists present for the occasion at the Emma-Albani Hall.

Maison Laurent Paquin

“The anonymous eaters,” says Laurent Paquin without hesitation, when the newspaper interrupts him in the middle of a meal. But we wouldn’t have the budget for food,” the comedian adds with a laugh.

Maison Geneviève Gagnon

“I would go to animals in difficulty,” responds first, taken by surprise, Chambly resident Geneviève Gagnon. After a brief thought, she refocuses the shot. “I would have more than a house, elderly, homeless, etc. It really bothers me, the situation of the homeless. When I go to Montreal, I want to talk to them and I give them money,” she adds.

Doug and Jeff House

“Probably my split personality, my schizophrenia, my behavior from the 1980s, breathes without pausing to breathe Jeff Méthé. I would have a client, it would be me,” he mentions, laughing shrilly.

“It is certain that it would be an implication for young people. Their future speaks to us a lot. Without knowing the exact cause, we would find something that affects us both,” adds Doug St-Louis, who, in the past, was involved as a volunteer with young people in need.

Referring to the expansion of the Stéphane Fallu House, which will this time accommodate young women, the duo ends by saying that “perhaps the Doug and Jeff House would be a little sister…”.

Maison Dave Gaudet

“It would be the same as Maison Stéphane Fallu, but with a better cook. It would be hi-tech with a ceramic plate so it would be easy for the kids to cook something on it. And you can’t make knives. It’s to train them not to know that,” explains Dave Gaudet in an educational manner.

Maison Mike Beaudoin

“It would be something for the kids. It would be in the same vein as Maison Stéphane Fallu, but to help more children who may have lost their parents,” summarizes the father.

Maison Samuel Vigneault

“I have a friend of mine who has stage 4 testicular cancer. At 25, when we found out about it, it was a pretty sad thing! I would associate myself with a cause that addresses male cancers,” establishes Samuel Vigneault.

The gang at Fallu

It was Chamblyian Stéphane Fallu who was able to attract all these beautiful people to the stage of the Chambly Cultural Center. He extended the pole to his friends of humor. Depending on the availability of his various counterparts, several responded to support the cause.

For young women

The show in question helped raise money to build the new pavilion at Maison Stéphane Fallu. The approach will make it possible to welcome six girls within it. To make the project a reality, the organization needs approximately $450,000. To date, $55,000 has been raised. “I know we’re going to arrive,” says Sandra Bolduc, director of POSA/Source des Monts. She would like to see the outcome of the initiative by spring 2024.

Alexandre Vezina

The presence of Alexandre Vézina at the show was also noted. The man returned to Chambly on October 7, after a 3,275-kilometer walk that he had started 100 days earlier, from Chambly. At the end of it, he brought home more than $38,000 for Maison Stéphane Fallu. Last Thursday, he was welcomed to the Salon bleu at the National Assembly. “It’s a great privilege, I’m very proud of it. For me, it’s a way to finish this project,” expresses Mr. Vézina.

Geneviève Gagnon cheered up the audience present on site. Surrounded by Philippe Vaillancourt, speaker at POSA/Source des Monts, and Sandra Bolduc, director of the organization, Alexandre Vézina presented a check for more than $38,000 following his long walk.
