What has changed? Resident Evil 4 Remake wins graphics comparison with original version

Resident Evil 4 Remake is one of the most anticipated games of 2023 and won a new trailer at State of Play held in February. In addition, the press has already received previews of the game and now we can see what has changed in this remake compared to the original version released in 2005.

The comparison published by the YouTube channel ElAnalistaDeBits shows several areas of the game such as Salazar Castle, the underground caves and even the confrontation scene between Leon and Jack Krauser and the graphic contrast between both is impressive.

Starting at the entrance to the castle, we see new areas with stealth elements that were not present in the original version of the game, adding even more elements such as new forms for plagues, improved mechanics for switching between weapons and much more detail in the scenarios.

Another interesting change is that Ashley will not have a health indicator in the Remake, which means it will be easier to keep her alive throughout the game. The mechanic for using the cannon has also been improved, allowing it to be used freely instead of being exclusively used to destroy the main entrance.

Lighting is another great asset of the Remake, which will have greater detail in all areas thanks to dynamic shadows and several graphical improvements that seem to make Salazar’s Castle even bigger and impressive.

The stealth mechanic will also be used during confrontations, allowing the player to hide to attack enemies by surprise. The video also shows that some scenes were rewritten to give more context to the game’s story, creating greater immersion and meaning to the journey.

Finally, the game also adds new enemies, wider areas that give greater freedom of movement and exploration for the player. A nice change is the knife fight once morest Jack Krauser, which will now no longer be cinematic, making the action more interesting with dynamic camera positioning.

Fortunately, you won’t have to wait long to see all the news: Resident Evil 4 Remake will be released on March 24 for PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series S and X.
