What happens to your donations

Your donations, 66% tax deductible, are essential for the League Against Cancer to intervene independently. They contribute to fulfilling the 4 missions of the League.

Seek to heal

The League once morest cancer is the only association that has been fighting since 1918 on all fronts of the disease, it is the first private funder of cancer research.

In 2021, 53 breast cancer research projects were funded by the League as part of its national research support actions for an amount of around 4.2 million euros.

Support to help

In order not to feel alone when faced with the announcement of the diagnosis, in order to better tolerate the treatment and its side effects, the Committee offers free “support care” defined as all the care and support necessary for sick people, throughout throughout the illness, in conjunction with treatments: psychological support, sexology, conviviality group, adapted physical activity, smoking cessation, dietetics, relaxation, socio-aesthetics, artistic expression workshop.

On the other hand, it can provide financial aid to patients who are in difficulty during the illness, following study of the file presented by the patient’s social worker. These files are examined by the social committee of the Committee, which is made up of a doctor, a social worker and the treasurer.

Prevent to protect

It is a question of informing the general public regarding the risk factors and the means of preventing or reducing a certain number of cancers, this through documentation, meetings or conferences. The Committee intervenes in schools and businesses in the department to prevent risky behavior. Finally, it promotes organized screening for breast cancer and colorectal cancer.

Mobilize society

The Committee participates in social debates around cancer by involving patients, relatives and all the actors concerned (health professionals, elected officials, associations, etc.) and defends the rights of patients.
