Both black dates and ghee contain a high percentage of proteins, healthy fatty acids and calcium, which is necessary for the growth and improvement of the body’s performance, strengthening the immune system, and other benefits.
But have you ever thought what happens if you eat this mixture, the health damages of excessive intake, and what is the right amount?
Dr. Marwa Shaer, a nutrition expert and researcher at the Food Technology Research Institute, said in a statement to “Masrawy” that the mixture of dates with municipal ghee is one of the ancient Egyptian dishes of great nutritional value, and its benefits include:
1. Providing the body with the necessary energy it needs.
2. The brown dates contain an amount of potassium, iron, and zinc.
3. It contains some substances that strengthen the ability of the immune system.
4. Municipal ghee is also a good source of calcium, and vitamins A, D, and K.
5. This combination contributes to increasing the important mineral salts for the body.
Excessive damage:
1. This mixture contains a large amount of calories, which leads to weight gain.
2. It causes high blood sugar, because it contains a high percentage of sugar.
3. It also leads to an increase in the incidence of “hyperactive” in children, a behavioral disorder that affects children, as a result of an organic defect in the brain.
Right Quantity:
The doctor recommends eating only one tablespoon per day, equivalent to (50-60) grams.
In addition, it is necessary to add municipal ghee to dates in specific proportions, in order to avoid health complications.
