Corneille is 45 years old: what becomes of the singer?

Corneille has experienced other trials. From the age of 6 and a half, the singer is alivesexual abuse ctime by his 18-year-old aunt. Later, his life changed once again on the night of April 15, 1994. When he was only 17, a majority of his family was murdered during the genocide in rwanda between the Tutsi and Hutu people. Settled for years in Canada, Corneille also plunged back into his painful past to tie up his new album: “With the death of George Floyd, I who am not at all communitarian, I still felt obliged to take sides. Perhaps this is an identity complex of a member of a diaspora who does not really know what he is. So my reflex was to want to belong to something, to a group, to a movement with music.”

Corneille and his fear of not being up to it
Corneille had already confided in the microphone d’Europe 1 in 2019. After the immense success of his first two albumsthe singer then felt some anxiety the idea of not meeting so much enthusiasm for its new productions.
