what happened to the sick Samoilova

The singer failed to succeed in creativity.

Yulia Samoilova gained wide popularity in 2018 when she went to represent Russia at the international Eurovision Song Contest. Before that, she took part in song shows and competitions many times, but she did not reach this level. The girl suffered from spinal muscular atrophy, due to which she was confined to a wheelchair. But, despite this, she amazed everyone with her strong vocals.

But at Eurovision, her voice was not appreciated. The audience felt that Russia had specifically put a disabled participant in the competition in order to earn more points. In the qualifying round, Yulia took 15th place and did not even make it to the final. After such a fiasco, Samoilova did not hold back her emotions and burst into tears in front of the cameras of journalists.

At home, instead of support, a wave of negativity awaited her. Critics and even colleagues in show business smashed her talent to smithereens. After a while, Yulia declared that she might no longer experience such pressure. She emigrated from Russia to Europe.

Now 33-year-old Samoilova is still engaged in creativity and releases solo albums. In addition, she devotes a lot of time to charity. Judging by social networks, Julia now lives in Russia.
