Do you remember the series “Seven at Home” and its heady credits? For 11 seasons, and 243 episodes, viewers were able to follow the daily life and the adventures of the Camdens, the perfect – and numerous – American family. Fifteen years following the end of the series (broadcast between 1996 and 2007), let’s discover together what has become of the protagonists who made it so successful!

Annie Camden

In the Camden family, I ask… the mother! Annie Camden is a courageous stay-at-home mom who is raising their seven children with her husband, Pastor Eric Camden. A particularly caring mother who listens to her offspring. Although she chose to dedicate her time to her family, Annie still studied many fields, including business, arts and economics. The stay-at-home mom also sometimes takes care of the Church treasury.

As Annie Camden: Catherine Hicks

Before embodying the backbone of the Camdens in “7 at Home”, Catherine Hicks already had a long career behind her on the small and big screen. She had notably played Marilyn Monroe in “Marilyn, une vie inachevée” (Marilyn: The Untold Story) released in 1980. Strangely, her appearances in the cinema and in television series became rarer at the end of the series which made known worldwide.

Just like her character in “7 à la Maison”, Catherine Hicks is a very pious woman, and is a volunteer in several Catholic associations helping the poorest.

Eric Camden

Reverend Eric Camden is husband to Annie Camden and father of seven children. Very respected in their small town of Glen Oak, he is very often asked to solve the worries of the inhabitants. During the 11 seasons, he will suffer from several heart problems which will lead him to leave the Church for a certain time.

As Eric Camden: Stephen Collins

If he continued to appear in several series following “Seven at home”, as in “New York: Special Unit”, “The Fosters”, “The Office” or “Devious Maids”, a dark affair will end to his acting career. In 2014, his ex-wife, actress Faye Grant, sent TMZ tapes in which we hear Stephen Collins confess to having abused three teenage girls, aged 11 to 14. It is stupor. Facts for which he will not ultimately be convicted, because there will be prescription.

Matt Camden

The eldest of the siblings, Matt Camden is the good boy of the family. If he does odd jobs in the first seasons, he later goes to university to study medicine. There he meets Sarah, his future wife, with whom he will later have twins.

As Matt Camden: Barry Watson

During the filming of the seventh season of “Seven at Home”, Barry Watson learns that he has cancer. His appearances in the series will subsequently be more occasional, but fortunately, he will come to the end of his fight once morest the disease. In the 2010s, he obtained a few supporting roles in successful series. He will notably play Steven Spence, the boyfriend of Serena van der Woodsen in season 6 of “Gossip Girl”. Now 48, he continues his acting career in television series. The latest, which is called “Naomi”, was finally canceled in May 2022, two days following the broadcast of its last episode.

Mary Camden

Mary Camden is the youngest and the rebel of the family. Passionate regarding basketball (but also boys!) She dreams of playing in the WNBA. Chaining nonsense and bad choices in her life, she will cause many cold sweats to her parents.

As Mary Camden: Jessica Biel

Revealed by the series, Jessica Biel will break into the cinema. She will shoot in commercial films like “Valentine’s Day” (2010) or “Texas Chainsaw Massacre” (2003). But it is now as a producer that Jessica Biel flourishes. In 2017, for example, she produced season 1 of the series “The Sinner”, in which she also played one of the main roles. Since 2007, she has been the companion of Justin Timberlake, with whom she married in 2012 and had two sons.

Lucy Camden

In “Seven at Home”, Lucy Camden is the emotional child of the house, well known for her overly dramatic excesses. Very pious, she decided to follow in her father’s footsteps and studied theology to become a pastor. She gets married in season 7 to Kévin Kinkirk, a policeman with whom she will have a little girl called Savannah.

As Lucy Camden: Beverley Mitchell

After the end of the series, Beverley Mitchell notably played in season 3 of “The Secret Life of the Ordinary Teenager”, with Shailene Woodley. She also launched into music by releasing an eponymous album. Married since 2002, she is the mother of three children and now devotes herself to her family. For all her years, she has maintained a beautiful friendship with her former colleague on the film sets, Jessica Biel.

Simon Camden

Fourth child of the siblings, little Simon Camden forms with Happy, the family dog, a real team. In high school, Simon becomes a real seducer and will have several girlfriends, including Deena, Cécilia, Georgia, Sandy, or even Rose. At the end of the series, we learn that he is graduating from university.

As Simon Camden: David Gallagher

In 11 seasons of “Seven at Home”, viewers have witnessed the physical metamorphosis of David Gallagher, going from a little boy to a young man. The actor notably dated Megan Fox in 2003, and Shannon Marie Woodward a year later. On the professional side, he appeared in many series such as “Smallville”, “Criminal Minds”, “CSI” and “Vampire Diaries”, or in the film “Super 8”. He is also the spokesperson for Cure Autism Now, an association devoted to autism; his brother being affected by this pathology.

Rosie Camden

Last daughter of the family, little Rosie has cracked all viewers of the series. Sly and precocious in her childhood, she develops a strong character over the seasons, often leading her to defend the causes that are close to her heart. At the end of the series, when she was only 17, she set off to travel the world with her boyfriend.

As Rosie Camden: Mackenzie Rosman

Mackenzie Rosman is now 32 years old. After the series, she continued her career in the cinema for a few years, but the films in which she played did not meet with success. She now devotes her time to her passion, horse riding. She even created a shop dedicated to this sport. Very active on social networks, she regularly shares moments of life on Instagram.

As Sam and David Camden: Nikolas and Lorenzo Brino

In “Seven at Home,” twins Sam and David Camden were born in season 3, and the episode of their birth was the most-watched of the entire series. These characters were played by the very young Nikolas and Lorenzo Brino, who in real life come from a sibling of quadruplets! Their sister Myrinda and brother Zachary also appeared on the show as babies. Sadly, Lorenzo tragically passed away in a car accident in March 2020, when he was just 21 years old.

Happy

Happy, a Pyrenean shepherd cross, was also one of the stars of the Camden family, to the delight of the children who played alongside him. He appeared in all 11 seasons of “Seven at Home”, becoming a true icon of the series.
