Although he had no experience in this type of business, Cubo Torres accepted that he has been successful in his family business. His main job is to deliver all the orders, so he changed the goals for the orders, for now.
And since he was separated from the Costa Rican team, Cubo faced an economic crisis as he did not earn money as a professional footballer; The support of the family allowed him to give himself this opportunity to try this new facet, according to his first weeks he has managed to earn around four thousand Mexican pesos, which in colones is close to 80 thousand.
“Thank God, four weekends ago it sold well and that helps me pay the bills. We have neighbors who have supported us, they place orders and I go and deliver. I have made between 80 thousand to 120 thousand colones (Costa Rican currency) per week,” he shared for ESPN.

Since the issue of Cubo Torres went viral, its representative Christian Sandoval went out to speak with the Costa Rican media and in different interviews pointed out that Cubo Torres does not ingest any type of substance that might alter its performance.
He stressed that the positive result was due to a medication he took to treat an ingrown toenail, but what they did not know is that the treatment had clostebol, a substance for which he tested positive. He regretted that the Cube’s name was tarnished in such a way.
“Erick had an ingrown toenail and he applied ‘Neobol’, unfortunately it is a prohibited substance and it came back positive. It is an injustice, but if he is disqualified,” said his representative.
