What future for State Medical Aid?

At the center of intense debates for months, the future of AME, State Medical Aid, is still not sealed. The surprise rejection of the immigration law by deputies on December 11 makes this specific framework of medical care even more uncertain. Beyond the political debate, doctors made their voices heard, to defend – both on an ethical and health level – the existing system, which for more than twenty years has provided for the coverage of medical and hospital costs for foreigners in irregular situation present in France for at least three months.

Priorité Santé gives a voice to these healthcare professionals, determined to take care, whatever the status of their patients.
