The national team faces the AmeriCup 2022 with a different team than the one we are used to seeing in the qualifying windows for the FIBA World Cup 2023. But the only thing different is the names, the philosophy and the work is the same as the team that has been doing of elders.
The project
The “White Team” It is a project devised by coach Fernando Duró in conjunction with the Venezuelan Basketball Federation and which is slowly beginning to bear fruit. It is a group that was born with the idea of being an alternative team to the absolute one made up of young people, with the intention of having international friction under the philosophy and structure established by coach Duró in the senior team.

Among the players of the senior team are: Windi Graterol (Captain), Yohanner Sifontes, José Ascanio and José Materán, the rest belong to the White Team.
