In its top version, the iPhone 15 might break all price limits. The iPhone 14 Pro Max already cracked the 2,000 euro mark in the version with 1 TB of storage, but it probably doesn’t end there. In return, the customer should get a lot from the iPhone 15 Ultra.
Apple’s prices are currently really nothing for budget-conscious customers, but Apple can’t complain regarding a lack of demand. The company succeeds well in passing on higher production costs to the customer, as the market observers put it. What works well today may well work in the future, which might be the reasoning behind Apple’s even higher iPhone prices.
Up to 2,500 euros for an iPhone 15?
Apple might initially present the iPhone 15 in its top version under a different name: Following the Apple Watch Ultra, Apple might bring an iPhone 15 Ultra, this name has often been the subject of speculation.
The entry-level model will be available in the US at prices ranging from $1,199 to $1,299. Accordingly, the prices here might be 1,799 euros – for the basic version.
What does the customer get in return?
If you want to buy the maximum equipped version, you might easily have to spend 2,500 euros if Apple continues to make the euro prices as offensive as they have been recently. But what is there for that?
A lot might actually be offered: One Leak Apple is said to be planning a dual front camera for the iPhone 15 Ultra. The case should also be made of titanium, which is lighter and more robust than stainless steel, but also more expensive. Accordingly, the production costs for this model will increase by 90 dollars.
After all, the entry-level version might also come with 256 GB of memory. It remains to be seen whether the maximum will be increased above one TB of storage. The Lightning connector is to be replaced by a USB-C port on the level of Thunderbolt 4, which would enable really fast data transfers even of huge videos, which are the case on the new top iPhones in the more demanding recording modes.
Although it is not clear how many customers would accept these higher prices, in view of the current sales situation it can be assumed that Apple might also place an iPhone on the market at such astronomical prices.
