What do the lights on the Apple Vision Pro battery mean?

One of the most controversial points regarding the Apple Vision Pro is the solution that Apple gave to its battery. Unlike other headsets, such as those from Meta, Maçã’s solution is external via cable — that is, this ends up not being that practical in daily use.

To make matters worse, the color of the battery status light can mean different things. Therefore, we decided to separate in this article which colors can appear there and their respective meanings.

Let’s go?! 🔋

The meanings of the lights when first connecting the battery to power or moving/touching it while recharging

  • 🟢 Green light for several seconds: The battery is fully charged.
  • 🟠 Amber light for several seconds: The battery charge level is less than 100%, but there is enough power for you to use Apple Vision Pro.
  • 🟠 Slowly pulsing amber light: The battery level is too low to use the headset. Keep the battery charging for at least ten minutes or until the light is solid amber but not pulsing.

The meanings of the lights when disconnecting the battery from power or moving/touching it during charging

  • 🟢 Green light for several seconds: the battery is charged to 50% or more.
  • 🟠 Amber light for several seconds: The battery level is currently between 5% and 49%.
  • 🟠 Slowly pulsing amber light: The current battery level is too low to power Apple Vision Pro. Leave the battery to charge for ten minutes or until the light is solid amber.

Now do you understand what each thing means? 😊 And, Apple… it would be difficult to add 4-5 LEDs to better indicate the current state of charge?!
