Video streaming website YouTube has released a list of the top trending videos, music videos, shorts, creators, and most viewed videos by emerging creators in 2023.
According to YouTube, YouTube shorts are viewed on average more than 70 billion times per day worldwide, the number of channels uploading shorts on a daily basis increased by more than 80% last year, and YouTube shorts now reach 2 billion views. More than logged-in users are viewing each month.
Long-form content has also gained ground among Pakistani consumers, indicating that both formats continue to dominate video form content in Pakistan despite changing trends in consumer consumption behavior.
Looking at the top trending list in Pakistan suggests that people prefer watching dramas on YouTube.
4 of the top 10 most watched or trending videos in 2022 are from dramas.
According to this list, the most watched video in Pakistan in 2023 was the popular drama Tere Bun Ki.
The last episode of Tere Bin was the most viewed video in Pakistan in 2023.
Zamzam Electronics Trading Named Top Creators of 2023
Dikki Bhai was declared as the second most popular critter while Villages in the city came third, Salman Nauman came fourth and Sisterology came 5th.
Zamzam Electronics Trading was also the top name in the Top Breakout Craters.
This was followed by Pak Town V Logs, Areba Parvez, Ali Baloch and Mishkat Khan who were ranked second, third, fourth and fifth respectively.
In 2023, the video for the song ‘Hum Sindh Mein Rahe Wale Sindhi’ topped the most watched music videos in Pakistan.
The song ‘Tere Waste’ from the Bollywood movie ‘Zara Hit Ke Zara Bach Ke’ was on the second place, while the third number went to the Indian song ‘Kya Luge Tum’.
An Indian song ‘Zhaal Miskeen Makan Beh Ranjash’ came fourth while the song ‘Phir Aor Kya Bhawa’ from the movie Zar Hit Ke Zar Bach came in at 5th place.
The most popular short video in Pakistan in 2023 was ‘Pati Ko Banaya Pagal’.
