The Syrian star, Asala Nasri, revealed that she suffers from the disease “polio”, which recurred years ago, and still accompanies her to this day, and causes her some pain, indicating that she resorts to exercise in order to resist it.
Asala explained during her interview on the Big Time podcast, presented by the journalist Amr Adeeb and the star Yasmine Sabry: “The problem with my leg occurred 4 years ago, and the disease renewed in me because it is affected by sadness. My legs are sensitive like me, and when I get upset, they always get upset.”
When asked about how this disease returns to adults, she said: “It will not return, it has not gone away. I have polio, and it is still present and recurring.” Amr Adeeb interrupted her, saying: “Doesn’t polio remain for children and end with adults?”, to which Asala replied jokingly: “So I tell you I am a child.”
She continued: “The disease remains, but we live with it, and it always requires training and exercise. I generally move a lot and play sports, but I stopped it a while ago and will return.”
Asala also spoke about her suffering from depression, her entry into the difficult stage of treatment, and the medications that had a negative effect on her, pointing out that she now prefers to talk to a “life coach” to provide her with positive energy.
On the other hand, she explained that she is not reconciled with age, and that she gets angry when someone asks her about her age, and refuses to admit that she has grown up, adding jokingly that she considers herself “still a child or in her twenties.”
