MUSIC WINS. The 37th Victoires de la musique will take place in February at the Seine Musicale, in Boulogne-Billancourt, near Paris.
Which artists marked this year 2021? To find out, meet on February 11, 2022 for the 37th Victoires de la Musique ceremony, which will take place at the Seine Musicale in Boulogne-Billancourt, at the gates of Paris. An evening broadcast live on France 2, as every year, and which will reward the artists who have marked the musical news of recent months.
On the program this year, like last year, eight different categories: Male Artist, Female Artist, Male Revelation, Female Revelation, Album, Original Song, Concert and Audiovisual Creation. The list of artists nominated in these categories will be communicated in the coming days. At the beginning of December, following the second round of voting, the electoral college of the Victories had made public the list of pre-appointed for the ceremony.
Before the final list of those nominated for the Victoires de la Musique, the voters of the ceremonies decided on the preselected artists following two rounds of votes. Here it is in each of the categories:
- Male artist : Eddy de Pretto, Julien Doré, Feu! Chatterton, Grand Corps Malade, Bernard Lavilliers, Orelsan, Gaëtan Roussel and SCH.
- Female artist : Juliette Armanet, Hoshi, Kimberose, Camille Lellouche, Clara Luciani, Mansfield. TYA, Yseult and Zaz.
- Male revelation : Chien Noir, Hunter, Le Noiseur, Lujipeka, Mr Giscard, MYD, Sopico and Terrenoire.
- Female revelation : Laura Cahen, Janie, L’Impératrice, P.R2B, Emma Peters, Poupie, Barbara Pravi and Silly Boy Blue.
- Album : Burn the fire – Juliette Armanet ; To all the bastards – Eddy from Pretto; Clay palace – Fire! Chatterton; Paradigms – Wife ; Heart – Clara Luciani; Civilisation – Orelsan; Ours – Noah Preszow; Do you know ? – Gaëtan Roussel; JVLIVS II – SCH et Vacuum geography – Hubert-Félix Thiéfaine.
- Song of the year : The last day of the disco – Juliette Armanet ; Brussels I love you – Angela; Pause – Eddy de Pretto and Yseult; New World – Fire ! Chatterton; Obviously – Kendji Girac ; Saul – Limiñanas & Garnier; Breathe once more – Clara Luciani; There is sun – Christophe Mae ; The Kiffance – Naps et The smell of gasoline – Orelsan.
- Concert : Benjamin Biolay, Gaël Faye, Feu! Chatterton, Hervé, Christophe Maé, Ben Mazué, Vianney and Woodkid.
- Audiovisual creation : Brussels, I love you – Angela; The last day of the disco – Juliette Armanet ; The lethal Weapon – Julien Doré and Eddy de Pretto; The rest – Clara Luciani; Let You Speak – MYD; Bobo –Aya Nakamura; Never show that to anyone – Orelsan and Slide – Sopico.
This year, like last year, the artists are nominated in eight categories: Male Artist, Female Artist, Male Revelation, Female Revelation, Album, Original Song, Concert and Audiovisual Creation. Small novelty therefore compared to last year, the Concert category is back in the list, but will include the last two years, due to cancellations linked to the Covid-19 pandemic.
A health situation which had also upset last year the category Revelations of the year, which had become non-mixed (previously Revelation scene and Album revelation), but separated into “male” and “female”.
For the 2022 Victoires de la musique, the public will once once more be able to vote in two categories: that of the Original Song and that of Audiovisual Creation. Voting will be open from January 10, 2022 at 8 p.m. to February 10, 2022 at 8 p.m., the day before the ceremony. It is possible to vote on the France Télévisions website. For the other categories, the votes are entrusted to a college of voters, made up of 900 people, music professionals and members “outside the music industry”, recruited on the basis of a letter of motivation.
