what are they – The Time

There is no escape. Temperatures have started to rise again in much of the Italian peninsula and it seems that, at the moment, the possibility of some fresh breeze is moving away day by day. The upcoming weekend will be yet another one of great heat. According to the latest heat wave bulletin edited by the Ministry of Health, the cities with a “red dot” (which today are 9) will be 8 both tomorrow and Sunday. These are Campobasso, Florence, Frosinone, Latina, Perugia, Rieti, Rome and Viterbo. As the ministry reminds us, the “level 3” alert is triggered in the presence of “emergency conditions with possible negative effects on the health of healthy and active people and not only on subgroups at risk such as the elderly, very young children and people with chronic diseases”. Temperatures are also slightly down but still above seasonal averages, especially those perceived: tomorrow peaks of 38 degrees are expected in Rome and Latina, on Sunday 38 in Frosinone and again in Latina.

The surprise of August: when the heat ends. Giuliacci indicates the date

A high pressure field weakening over the Mediterranean with more humid currents at high altitude that have already led to the formation of even intense thunderstorms over the northern regions. Drier weather conditions over the rest of Italy and very hot weather, but over the weekend some thunderstorms will also reach the Center-South, especially in the internal sectors. Temperatures slightly decreasing over the entire Peninsula but with values that are still closer to the averages for the period. These are the latest updates from the Italian Weather Center that for next week confirm a new increase in heat with a further strengthening of the anticyclone over the Mediterranean.
