The ten fictitious companies had the objective of expanding the possibility of making purchases abroad, through “couriers”, making purchases of merchandise without anything of value, with the aim of bringing hidden screens, tempered glass and special covers.
According to the information provided by the Police of the City of Buenos Aires, the organization in charge of the illegal maneuver included a man who is designated as the head of the organization along with two sons and a nephew. In total, they created ten fictitious companies, all managed from a central office in the Belgrano neighborhood.. There, 159 sealed iPhones were seized, which would have been entered by an intern, who was accounted for 23 trips between the United States and Argentina in six months.
Thus, the investigation led to 65 raids, and the kidnapping of more than 200 cell phones, mostly Iphone, and hundreds of accessories, dozens of CPUs with information on the maneuvers, more than 6 million pesos in cash and more than 7 thousand dollars, three high-end vehicles and four pallets with documentation of operations, from 2016 to today.
According to the sources of the case, the modality used by the band was as follows: the iPhones were brought by an intern. In parallel, through “couriers”, courier companies, Containers with technological garbage arrived, in which screens, tempered glass and different spare parts for cell phones were hidden.

The 58 premises were for sale and for repairs. They were under three social reasons. However, the iPhones were not found in the places, as officials were able to verify, but whoever wanted to buy ordered them and from the central office they started the process.
Once the intern was able to bring the merchandise into Argentina, the product went to the central office in Belgrano. There they discarded the original box and put them in boxes of the different company names created by the band.
With all the elements collected, the Economic Criminal Prosecutor’s Office No. 7, in charge of María Ruiz Morales, requested the 65 raids and they were ordered by Judge Yadarola.
