Bloomberg reporter Mark Gorman mentioned that the upcoming iPhone 14 Pro models will have larger batteries.
This will be the second year in a row that Apple has increased the size of the battery, while improving processor performance, in addition to focusing on eSIM technology, rather than physical SIM cards.
This isn’t the first time it’s been mentioned that the iPhone 14 series will have bigger batteries. In June, an Apple fan posted a post that might confirm the battery size of the new iPhones.
According to a post on Baidu, the regular new iPhone might feature a 3,279 mAh battery compared to 3,227 mAh for the iPhone 13.
The iPhone 14 Pro can use a 3,200 mAh battery, compared to 3,095 mAh for its predecessor, the 13 Pro.
On the other hand, the iPhone Pro Max 14 will have a slightly smaller battery than its predecessor, with 4,323 mAh, compared to the 13 Pro Max with 4,352 mAh.
iPhone 14 Pro features
Gorman recounts what he expects Apple to offer with this new version, and says that the regular iPhone 14 models will get “some changes in the camera hardware,” as he said that the front camera will feature autofocus for the first time, and that it will contain improved sensors for facial recognition. The device will also feature a new 48-megapixel wide-angle system, improved sensors for remote and ultra-wide-angle imaging, as well as improvements to video recording and low-light photography.
He also talked regarding Apple pushing for the eSIM technology, while it was rumored that the company might give up the physical SIM card slot in newer iPhone models, and it is unclear whether Apple will do this with the iPhone 14 or will postpone it to later versions.
