The automotive landscape is changing. In the coming years, there will be a huge transition to hybrid and all-electric vehicles as automakers shift – some completely – to battery power.

That is why we have prepared a list of 7 vehicles that should be on the market by the end of 2026, whether gasoline, hybrid or electric.

1. Aston Martin Valhalla

Release date: 2024

The mid-engined Valhalla will be the next supercar in the Aston Martin range. Scheduled for early 2024, the Aston Martin Valhalla will have a flat-plane crankshaft V8 engine that might exceed 900 horsepower and a 0-100 km/h time of regarding three seconds.

2. BMW M2 CS

Release date: 2025

The 453-horsepower M2 is already a firecracker on its own, but BMW plans to go even further with the upcoming M2 CS. Due in 2025, the BMW M2 CS might pack more than 500 horsepower with an upgraded version of the current car’s eight-speed automatic.

3. Ferrari Hypercar

Release date: 2025

Ferrari’s next great hypercar should arrive in 2025 as a spiritual successor to the beloved LaFerrari. We’ve already seen several camouflaged prototypes that preview the spectacular design of this wild-looking hypercar, which includes an S-duct hood and a huge rear spoiler.

But we won’t see this Ferrari in its final form until 2025. Rumors suggest that Ferrari’s new halo car might even do without its V12 in favor of a twin-turbo V8.

4. Toyota GR Electric Sports Car

Release date: 2026

Toyota is hard at work on an electric sports car that will carry the GR brand. But it won’t be a normal electric sports car. The company claims it will have “engine noises” and even a simulated manual gearbox, similar to that of Lexus’ upcoming sports car. The new car should arrive in 2026.

5. Lexus LFA EV

Release date: 2026

It’s unclear if the LFA name will return, but we know Lexus is preparing a new electric sports car inspired by the iconic LFA. The prototype shown in the image is the beautiful Electrified Sport that debuted in 2021 and, as expected, will serve as the basis for a new electric sports car from Lexus.

Early reports indicate it might have a 0-100 km/h time of around two seconds and even a manual gearbox.

6. Mercedes-Benz EQA Sedan

Release date: 2024

The Mercedes range is undergoing an evolution that will soon see all petrol cars become battery-powered, including some of the brand’s smallest models.

The Mercedes EQA sedan (not the SUV that is already on sale) should arrive in 2024 as an entry-level electric vehicle for the brand. Inspired by the CLA and A-Class gasoline models, the EQA should have elegant four-door coupe styling and at least 200 horsepower of power.

7. Tesla Roadster

Release date: 2024

There might be a light at the end of the tunnel for the long-awaited Tesla Roadster. Reports indicate that with production of the Cybertruck starting this year, the company might begin work on the Roadster sometime in 2024. Let’s hope the production version of the supercar appears in early 2024 before going on sale next year.
