“I wanted to share some thoughts with you but since I didn’t have a relevant photo I thought I’d accompany the text with this studio yearbook photo.
Besides, what does the image matter, huh? Does the text not count? The placement? The bottom line? Or maybe not? Some will stay on the shirt, if it’s closed, if it has a neckline, others on the glass, if it’s presbyopia due to age because “she’s getting old too” or “if it’s fake to give a sophisticated style”.
Others will compare the dress of the day to the dress of another decade, another condition. Others will wonder if “is the garment expensive enough?” if it was “bought by a sugar daddy or other sponsor” or if it was “bought by “a shitload of money” she made at breakfast bars and on Instagram posting lipstick”
Some will think “What the hell did he hang up” others will seek to know “what plastic is he pulling on” and others will simply pass by to engage with other singing ladies in “clothes that don’t fit lefties” or ladies who impress with their physique their brilliance and their brilliant minds, but now they are labeled “bebekes.”
But there will be a few who will listen to the speech, the positioning, the intervention, the song. The essence. They will hear these. They will hear them. Because they don’t just see. They don’t just stay in the picture. They listen.
They are few, but they are enough to make it worth continuing the placement, the intervention, the song. The essence. Journalist and former colleague @natasagiamali and colleague @kaki.georgia thankfully identified and touched on the “sexist” of the week on the @megatvcom show as they aptly pointed out and wondered when society will finally be ready to see beyond.
So this is what will happen, When we all understand, whether we are commenting behind a keyboard, or to justify the expectations of some who expect from us “the comment”, that this comment, the one we choose to see in the other, is either inside us , WE ARE THIS because of this and we recognize it in others, whether the other brings in front of us what we LACK and WE DIE because we don’t have it”, wrote Eleonora Meleti.
