WhatsApp since 2021 was authorized to make financial transactions here in Brazil, but only bank transfers. Two years following the beginning of this movement, WhatsApp is allowed to make purchases in stores and establishments using Visa and Mastercard credit, debit and prepaid cards.

This means that app users will now have the ability to make payments directly to businesses, purchasing products and services without having to leave the messenger.
