The government has announced that the rebate on fuel prices will increase on September 1, from 18 cents to 30 cents. It is interesting to make the latest analyzes one week before the entry into force of this increase in the discount.
Gasoline down and diesel up
The price of gasoline SP98 et SP95 E10 are in light decrease. The 98 decreases by 0.6 cents over a week to be billed at the price of 1,843 €/l while the 95 E10 down 0.4 cents to exchange for 1,740 €/l on average in France.
The finding is different for the diesel who sees his price increase strongly in a week. In fact, it records a rise of 6 cents per liter to appear on average at 1,881 €/l in French service stations.
However, if we compare with the start of the summer holidays, prices have fallen significantly since you had to prepare €2.105/l on June 30, 2022 to put a liter of diesel in your car while for the same date gasoline was €2.158/l for the SP98.
Ethanol and LPG also on the rise
Renewable fuels have increased slightly over the past week with a rise of 0.4 cents pour E85 ethanol who is billed to 0,820 €/l while the GPL increases by 0.3 cents to pay 0,879 €/l.

It now remains interesting to see whether prices will remain stable in the fall. Many believe that with this increase in the rebate, fuel prices will increase, offsetting the effects of the increase. However, if not, then fuel should return to pre-Ukrainian war levels.
