The Daily Mail reports that a two-year-old made it to the base camp at an altitude of 5,364 meters. This makes him probably the youngest person in history to get there. The camp is used by mountaineers to acclimatize before they begin the climb to the summit.

According to media reports, the young summiteer’s parents both suffered from altitude sickness during the climb, but he was spared. The Scottish family is currently continuing their year-long trip to Asia.
