After a brilliant start to the season, KVC Westerlo can’t get going anymore. The Kempen team lost to Genk.
The teams are losing their feathers at the end of the season: KRC Genk is experiencing its first steps without Bilal El Khannouss this Friday, against a Westerlo deprived of Lucas Stassin who has left to finalize his transfer to Saint-Etienne. It will take a set piece to make the difference, but above all a big mistake from Sinan Bolat. On a free kick from the side, the Turkish goalkeeper makes a mistake and offers 1-0 to Nicolas Sattlbergerbarely entered the game (81st). A goal that will be enough for Genk to win.
For Westerlo, it’s three games in a row without a win, a 1/9 and only one goal scored in three games, after a brilliant start to the season. A backlash that seems almost logical for Timmy Simons’ men.
