Windies win second match of England-West Indies five-match T20I series. Windies won by ten runs. This was West Indies’ second consecutive win in the series.
England won the toss and chose to bat in the match held at the Granada National Cricket Stadium, the venue of West Indies. Batting first following losing the toss, West Indies scored 176 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 20 overs.
Brandon King scored 82 runs not out in 52 balls in the West Indies batting line-up. King’s explosive innings was accompanied by eight fours and five massive sixes. The player swung the bat at a strike rate of 157.69.
Apart from Brandon, captain Rowman Powell scored 50 runs off 28 balls and performed well. The West Indies skipper’s innings included three fours and five sixes.
Adil Rasheed and Tymal Mills performed well by taking two wickets in the English bowling line-up.
In reply, England were limited to 166 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 20 overs. Alzari Joseph took three wickets and Aqeel Hossain took two wickets in the West Indies bowling line and the West Indies won by ten runs.
Sam Curran scored 50 runs in 32 balls in England’s batting line, but might not lead the team to victory.
Windies lead 2-0 in the five-match series with the win. The third T-20 will be held on December 16.
