In Wéris, in the province of Luxembourg, seven menhirs, discovered during excavations begun in 2019, have been straightened. They had been lying and buried since the 16th and 17th centuries.

The heaviest menhir weighs 7.2 tonnes and measures 3.80 m.

They were removed using two excavators.

The monuments were erected 5,000 years ago by a Neolithic civilization.

From next fall, the curious will be able to discover these menhirs on a discovery tour.
