His extremely dangerous driving style made a Romanian citizen conspicuous to the police around 2:45 p.m. on Thursday. On the way on the A8 in the direction of Voralpenkreuz, the police tried to stop and control the vehicle in the Wels area. At first, the 46-year-old reacted accordingly. When he had already stopped his vehicle at the police car on the slowdown lane at the Wels-Wirtschaftspark exit, he must have changed his mind once more. Suddenly the Romanian accelerated once more, swerved behind the police car without considering the oncoming traffic and raced on at high speed on the A8 towards Voralpenkreuz.
The police officers found the car in the Lambach exit within a few seconds: the driver had lost control, collided with another car and finally with a crash cushion at the motorway exit.
