Wels professional cyclists want to save the team with crowdfunding

After the withdrawal of the main sponsor, the professional cyclists now want to enable financing for the coming year with a crowdfunding campaign. At the same time, the search for a new main sponsor continues feverishly.

“We hope that numerous friends of cycling will come forward and support us,” said the managing director of Radsport Wels (RSW), Daniel Repitz, in a statement on Monday. “The team spirit is extremely high in our team. It would be an extreme shame if our journey ended like this,” explained racing director Rupert Hödlmoser.

The 16 professional cyclists of the UCI Continental team themselves also want to find new donors with special calls, most recently Felix Ritzinger on his jersey or through video postings by his teammates on social networks. The crowdfunding campaign can be carried out on GoFundMe be supported.
