Budapest – Lukas Weißhaidinger easily qualified for the discus throw final at the World Athletics Championships in Budapest. The Upper Austrian threw his work equipment to 65.61 m in muggy conditions in Saturday’s evening pre-fight. No athlete managed the final standard of 66.50, the top twelve climbed up. Weißhaidinger, a three-time bronze medalist at major events, had the fifth-best performance overall.
