WEF 2022: Davos im Stilcheck

The global business elite usually come to Davos GR wrapped up thickly. But this year she is leaving winter coats and boots at home. The vast majority come to the Swiss mountains in a business look – the men in suits, the women in deuxpièces. Striking: The tie is out – only the very important men, especially heads of state, still wear them. “Business fashion has become much more relaxed,” says style expert Tatjana Kotoric (45).

“Men no longer have to wear a tie as part of their uniform, only if they want to.” The female gender has also undergone a transformation. “Women wear dresses a lot more often now. Some even used patterns at the WEF, which is particularly brave,” says Kotoric.

Typical of this spring WEF: The women do not switch from high heels to boots, but from high heels to ballerinas, as does PwC Europe boss Petra Justenhoven (54), who lets Blick photograph her beaming.

In Davos there are also a few women and men who go a little further in terms of fashion. Some wear hats, others colored dresses. “I’m amazed, I don’t know such pictures from the World Economic Forum,” says Kotoric. This might be due to the warmer temperatures in May. “But I also think that the WEF participants have become bolder following Corona.” (ste)
