Organized on Thursday, September 21 at 11 a.m., this webinar uses the COMSOL Multiphysics® platform and the Corrosion module to highlight the relevance of modeling and simulation. These tools make it possible to understand and predict corrosion phenomena, in order to then identify the most relevant protection strategies.
In this webinar in free access organized on Thursday September 21 of 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., we will present the COMSOL Multiphysics® simulation platform and the Corrosion module. Their functionalities dedicated to the modeling of corrosion processes take into account the various physical phenomena such as the transport mechanisms of species in the electrolyte or the electrochemical reactions occurring at the electrolyte-metal interfaces. Specialized tools are also available for modeling cathodic protection, facilitating the description of sacrificial anodes or impressed current systems.
The modeling capabilities of COMSOL Multiphysics® will be illustrated with examples of galvanic corrosion and cathodic protection. We will see how multiphysics simulation can allow you to better predict and understand corrosion, and how it can help you design effective protection systems for your structures.
This webinar will be recorded and available in archive on our website the day following the event.
