Weather: Where severe weather will hit in the next few hours – Warning bell from Friday

Intense weather phenomena have been observed today (12/11) since the morning, while the EMY also proceeded earlier to update its Emergency Bulletin. In addition, according to the forecast of Clearchos Marousakis, the course of the bad weather, which until Monday will hit the country with rains and storms, is changing.

In the next hours the phenomena will have reached the Ionian Islands, while in the next six to nine hours, heavy rains and storms are expected in Kefalonia, Zakynthos and Ithaca.

Latest weather forecasts indicate that there is a change in the path of the severe weather system. This means, according to Mr. Marousakis that “in addition to the western marine coastal areas, it seems that marine coastal areas to the south are also affected, such as for example the southern marine coastal areas of the Peloponnese with an extension towards Myrtoos pelagos – Cyclades”.

According to what we know so far, the ongoing bad weather in the western country ends on Wednesday. Then, however, a new one comes, which will bring phenomena all over Greece and in Attica.

The new wave is coming from Friday and will occupy eastern and southern Greece with enough cold and a further drop in temperature.

On Sunday, the phenomena will shift to the east and south, which means that until the end of the week, almost no area will remain without rain, as Mr. Marousakis.
