Is it time to keep sweaters and scarves handy? In these weeks of autumn, the heat has enveloped the South and triggered a general rise in temperatures. When will the first taste of “true, winter-like cold” arrive? Mario Giuliacci tried to answer this question in his latest speech published on meteogiuliacci.it. According to forecast models, temperatures could undergo an initial change “well in advance of what is indicated on the calendar”. If until some time ago we were talking about October 27th or 28th, now it seems that the change of pace could be postponed by a few days.
The latest updated maps “see the irruption of cold polar currents on our country in the very first days of November: in particular the cold air should arrive between Friday 1st and Saturday 2nd November, and bring some unusual cold for the period , especially on the Adriatic side“, we read. Then the meteorologist wanted to clarify: “We are not talking about mid-winter frost, for that we will have to wait longer. Temperatures will drop below normal, but without exaggerating: that is, typical values of late November or early December,” he wrote.
