Weather Update: Heatwave Sweeps Across Thailand with Temperatures Soaring as High as 41 Degrees; Rain Also Expected in 20 Provinces of the Czech Republic: PPTVHD36

The Meteorological Department has forecasted the weather for today all over Thailand, with temperatures reaching up to 41 degrees Celsius in the north, northeast, district, and south. Rain is expected in 20 provinces with warnings for summer storms from March 26-29.

For the next 24 hours, a heat low pressure system will cover upper Thailand, resulting in generally hot weather with haze during the day and very hot temperatures in certain areas. Meanwhile, southerly and southeasterly winds will continue to prevail over the lower northeastern, central, and eastern regions. Thunderstorms with gusty winds are expected in some places in the eastern part, and citizens are warned to take care of their health due to the hot to very hot weather and to be cautious of potential thunderstorms.

The southeast and northwest winds are expected to prevail over the Gulf of Thailand, the South, and the Andaman Sea, causing some thunderstorms in the southern region. Furthermore, the moderate high pressure area from China will extend its ridge to cover the Northeast and the South China Sea, resulting in hot to very hot weather in upper Thailand and an increased likelihood of summer storms with thunderstorms, gusty winds, and hail in some places.

Notably, dust/smog accumulation is expected to be moderate to quite high in the North and Northeast regions due to weak prevailing winds. In contrast, the accumulation of dust/smog will be low in the central region, Bangkok and its vicinity, and the eastern region.
