Weather: Unusual heat in Switzerland for the next few days

A heat described as “unusual” will reign over the next few days in Switzerland. In the plain and even up to 1000 meters above sea level, the thermometer will often exceed 20 degrees.

Saturday, Explain this Sunday MeteoNews, the thermometer reached 22 degrees in Geneva. “And that’s just the beginning!” is it underlined. This Sunday followingnoon like Monday, 21 to 23 degrees are expected in the plain. And 20 to 22 degrees should be measured around 1000 meters, as in La Chaux-de-Fonds or Pays-d’Enhaut.

These hot temperatures should persist for the rest of the week, with 18 to 20 degrees in the plain, “even if clouds and some showers should be back at the end of the week”, it is announced.

We owe this mildness to a south-westerly current which directs warm air over a good part of Europe. In the south-west of France, the thermometer should even come close to 30 degrees.
