Weather: the heat is back, here’s what to expect in the next few hours

The weather will remain dry on Tuesday with variable cloudiness with mainly high cloud fields. The weather will become hot with highs of 25°C on the Coast and in the Hautes Fagnes, and around 28 or 29°C in the centre. Locally, we can already reach 30°C, according to forecasts from the Royal Meteorological Institute (IRM). The wind will generally be moderate, and at sea sometimes quite strong, from southwest to west-southwest.

Tonight the sky will be partly cloudy. It will be mild with lows of 14 to 18°C. The wind will be weak and at moderate seas from the southwest sector.

Wednesday, the weather will become quite sunny with sometimes a few cloudy fields. The atmosphere will become warm with highs between 22 and 26°C at sea and between 29 and 33°C elsewhere.

Thursday, the flow will be oriented to the northwest over most regions (and even to the north at the coast). The hot air will begin to be pushed towards the south-east but the maxima will still reach values ​​of 29 or 30°C in the central part of the country and perhaps even 33 or 34°C in the extreme south-east. By the sea, the maximum will be limited to 20 or 21°C. The development of an isolated shower is not totally excluded during the day.

Friday, a cold front will pass over the country from the west to the east, causing showers (thundery) that might occur especially in the center and east of the country and mainly before noon. During the followingnoon, the weather will become generally dry from the west and more sunny spells will develop. It will be less hot with highs close to 22°C in the center.

Saturday, generally sunny weather with highs near 22 or 23 degrees in the center. At sea and in upper Belgium, however, it will be a little cooler.

Sunday and Mondaythe cloudiness will be variable with maximums of around 23 to 24 degrees in the center.
