Weather: here are the forecasts for the last week of 2022

The day of Monday Temperatures will be mild, with maximums between 7°C in the upper Ardennes and 9 or 10°C in Flanders, according to the latest forecasts from the IRM (Royal Meteorological Institute). The weather will be dry at first, with the exception of some residual rain in the south-east of the country. Then the cloudiness will increase from the coast during the morning, and a zone of showers will cross the territory towards the Ardennes, before clearings.

The southwesterly wind will be moderate to fairly strong, along the coast even temporarily strong. After passing the shower line, the wind will shift to the west and decrease fairly quickly. During the night, the sky will remain dry and there will be a clear cooling compared to the previous nights. The mercury will drop to 1 or 2°C south of the Sambre and Meuse furrow, around 3°C in the center of the country and 5°C by the sea. During the night, low clouds are expected over the south -east of the country, with a risk of reduced visibility on the heights of the Ardennes. Patches of ice may also appear there. The wind will generally be moderate, from the southwest. The low clouds over the Ardennes should persist on Tuesday, while the other regions will see a few rays of sunshine at the start of the day.

tomorrow mardi, the day will start under the sun in most regions. Patches of medium and high clouds will then invade the sky from the west. In the Ardennes, the grayness will be tenacious and the low clouds will dissipate only with difficulty. The maxima will vary between 2 degrees in the Hautes Fagnes, 6 degrees in the center of the country and 8 degrees along the coast. The wind will be moderate from the southwest then from the south-southwest. A zone of rain will then approach our country during the following night.

Wednesday, the sky will be very cloudy with occasional rain or drizzle. In the late followingnoon or evening, the rains will become more marked from the west. On the relief of the Ardennes, visibility will once more be limited by low clouds. The maxima will be between 5 degrees in the upper Ardennes and 9 or 10 degrees in Flanders. The southwest wind will gradually increase in intensity to become quite strong at the end of the day, with gusts of 60 to 70 km/h.

Thursday, more unstable sea currents will invade our country. The sky will then be very changeable with fairly widespread showers. The maxima will vary between 6 degrees on the heights of the Ardennes and 8 or 9 degrees in Flanders. The wind will be moderate to fairly strong from the southwest with gusts of 50 to 60 km/h, even 70 km/h along the coast.

Friday, some thinning will still be possible at the start of the day. New rains will then invade our country from the southwest. The weather will be windy with maximums of 8 degrees in the upper Ardennes to 10 or 11 degrees in Flanders.

Saturday, the rain area will still temporarily ripple over our country. It will be followed by a trailing sky with possibly some residual showers. The highs will vary between 8 and 13 degrees.

Sunday, the weather will be very mild with still a chance of rain. The highs will vary between 10 and 14 degrees.
