Frosts will be widespread Sunday morning, except for the coastal region. First of all, the sun will be very present, but later, some cloudy fields will be possible especially in the Ardennes and in the northwest. The weather will remain dry, according to forecasts from the Royal Meteorological Institute (IRM).
The maxima will remain slightly negative in the Ardennes while they will not exceed 4 or 5°C in the plain, or even 6°C in the west. The northeast wind will be moderate to fairly strong on the coastal region and on the Ardennes heights with gusts that can reach 50 to 55 km/h; it will therefore reinforce the feeling of cold. During the night from Sunday to Monday, the sky will clear everywhere and light to moderate frosts will be observed with minima oscillating around 0°C on the coast, 2°C in the interior, and up to 6°C in the ‘East. The moderate northeast wind will reinforce the impression of cold.
Monday At dawn, the sky will be clear with frosts in all regions, except perhaps by the sea. Sunny weather will remain in the early hours. From midday, a few clouds will come to wash up on the country, from the east. The maxima will vary between 1°C in the Hautes Fagnes and 7°C in places in Flanders, under a generally moderate northeast wind.
Mardi, cloudy fields should be quite numerous over the west of the country with the risk of a winter downpour. Elsewhere, the cloudiness will be more variable while the sun will clearly impose itself on the south east. The maxima will oscillate between 0°C in the Hautes Fagnes and 5 to 6°C in the plain.
Wednesdaythe sky will be practically clear with widespread frosts in the morning and highs of 5 to 6°C in the plain.
THURSDAYmore low clouds might return to the western half of the country, but the weather will remain dry.
