The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts that a tropical cyclone with a strength of 95W has been detected in the North Pacific Ocean of Papua, moving northwest.

This tropical cyclone seed has the potential to cause moderate to heavy rain in the regions of North Maluku, Southwest Papua, West Papua, Central Papua, and Papua, as well as moderate high waves in the North Pacific Ocean of Papua.

In addition, BMKG reported that other convergence areas were monitored in the Malacca Strait, from Central Kalimantan to North Kalimantan, from the coast of Southeast Sulawesi to the southern part of South Sulawesi, from Central Papua to West Papua, and from the Indian Ocean South of Timor Island to the Sawu Sea.

Confluence areas are also observed in the Andaman Sea, South China Sea, Natuna Sea, Seram Sea, Java Sea, and the South Indian Ocean from East Nusa Tenggara to Southwest Lampung. This condition increases the potential for rain cloud growth around tropical cyclone seed areas and along the convergence or confluence areas.

Wind speeds are expected to increase to more than 25 knots, which can increase wave heights in certain waters. These areas include the Andaman Sea, Java Sea, Arafura Sea, Arafura Sea, and the South Indian Ocean off West Java.

For surface winds in Indonesia, generally dominated by winds from the East and Southeast with speeds ranging from 10 to 50 km per hour. Air temperatures range from 16 to 34 degrees Celsius with humidity between 41 to 99 percent.

The height of sea waves in the Indonesian region is estimated to range from 0.5 to 2.5 meters. BMKG appealed to the public to be aware of the potential for flooding in several coastal areas, namely the coast of North Sumatra, the coast of the Riau Islands, the coast of Central Java, and the coast of East Kalimantan.
