Weather forecast: here is when the snow should reappear in Belgium

The gray weather will sometimes filter out one or the other clearing on Sunday, especially over the southeastern half of the country, but the low clouds will remain generally dominant, indicates the Royal Meteorological Institute (IRM) in its morning bulletin.

The clouds will become more and more dense over the hours and at the end of the day, some precipitation, in the form of rain or melting snow, or even snow on the relief, might already affect Belgian Lorraine and part of Ardennes. The maxima will generally be between 1 and 3°C, but might remain slightly negative in Hautes-Fagnes if low clouds persist. The wind will be moderate and sharp once more, from east to northeast.

During the night from Sunday to Monday, the sky will be very cloudy to overcast everywhere with occasional precipitation, in the form of rain or melting snow in the plains and melting snow or snow which might whiten the ground in certain places south of the furrow. Sambre and Meuse. On the relief, an accumulation of a few centimeters cannot be ruled out and visibility will sometimes be limited by precipitation and/or the formation of fog. The minima will be between -1 and 1°C in the Ardennes, and between 0 and 3°C elsewhere.

Monday, the weather will be gray and foggy with light rain. South of the Sambre and Meuse furrow, precipitation will take the form of melting snow and even sometimes snow, especially in Upper Belgium. The weather will be drier in the west. The maximums will be between -1 and 2°C in the Ardennes, around 4 or 5°C in the center and 6°C at the sea. The wind will be weak from the north returning to the northwest in the followingnoon.

Mardi, the weather will remain mostly dry. The day will start in the gray with the risk of mists and fog, especially in the Ardennes. During the day, the chances of seeing some sunny spells will increase in Lower and Middle Belgium, but south of the Sambre and Meuse furrow, the weather might remain cloudy all day. The maxima will vary between 0 and 4 degrees in Upper Belgium and 4 to 7 degrees elsewhere. The wind will generally be light from the north.

Wednesday, the sky will be partly to very cloudy in Lower and Middle Belgium. A risk of showers is present, especially in the northwest. Precipitation may adopt a wintry character at the end of the day and in the evening. They will be able to extend a little further inland. The weather will remain dry all day south of the Sambre and Meuse furrow but cloudy. The maxima will oscillate between 0 or +1 degree in the Hautes Fagnes, 5 degrees in the center and 6 degrees at sea, under a weak or moderate wind from west to northwest.

Thursday, the cloudiness will be variable with the risk of a few showers, especially on the coast. Clouds will be even more numerous in the southeast. The maxima will range between -1 and +4 degrees, under a generally weak south to southwest wind.

After a cold night with almost widespread frosts, sunny periods will share the sky with cloudy fields this Friday. The weather will generally remain dry. In the east, on the other hand, it would seem that the clouds remain in the majority with a risk of winter precipitation. The highs will oscillate around 2 degrees in the center under a generally weak south to southwest wind.
