The General Directorate of Meteorology expects, for Thursday, August 1, 2024, that the weather will be locally hot in the northern and central interior plains, the Rif and Atlas regions, the eastern region, the southeast of the country, as well as within the southern regions.
Raindrops and scattered thunderstorms are expected over the High and Middle Atlas Mountains and locally in the Rif regions, while the sky will be partly cloudy to cloudy at times over the plains extending west of the Atlas Mountains and in the eastern region.
During the night, very light raindrops are likely to fall locally over the plains extending from Sidi Ifni to Tarfaya, in addition to the formation of low clouds accompanied by local fog banks near the Atlantic coast during the night and morning, as well as sandstorms over the south and southeast of the Kingdom.
There will also be some strong wind gusts on the central coasts, the High and Middle Atlas Mountains, and the south of the country.
Minimum temperatures will range between 27 and 32 degrees in the southeast, the Moulouya Valley, the areas located west of the Atlas and inside the southern regions, and between 15 and 19 degrees in the High Atlas and the rest of the southern regions, and will be between 19 and 26 degrees in the rest of the other regions.
As for the high temperatures, they will generally rise.
The sea will be calm to slightly rough on the Mediterranean coast, slightly rough in the Strait and north of Casablanca, slightly rough to rough on the rest of the other coasts, and will become rough to very rough south of Boujdour in the evening.
