DLocally heavy and sometimes stormy rains (20 to 110 mm) are expected from Thursday to Saturday in several provinces of the Kingdom, the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM) announced on Thursday.
Thus, the provinces of Chefchaouen and the reliefs belonging to the provinces of Larache, Tétouan, Al Hoceima and Ouezzane will experience, from Friday at 9 a.m. to Saturday at 10 a.m., rains oscillating between 80 and 110 mm, indicated the DGM in a bulletin of red vigilance level alert.
On Thursday from 3:40 p.m. to 6 p.m., precipitation, this time at an orange vigilance level, varying between 20 and 30 mm, will concern Essaouira, Safi and Chichaoua, added the same source.
Rainfall of 40 to 80 mm will fall on the province of Taroudant from Thursday at 3.40 p.m. to Friday at 5 a.m. During this same period, the provinces of Inezgane-Ait Melloul, Al Haouz, Tiznit, Chtouka-Ait Baha, Agadir-Ida-Outanane, Sidi Ifni, Guelmim and Tan Tan, will experience rains of 30 to 50 mm.
In addition, fairly strong gusts of wind (50 to 70 km / h) are expected during this same period on the Atlantic coasts north of Essaouira and the western Rif, according to the bulletin.
Rains oscillating between 40 and 80 mm will also concern the provinces of Tangier-Asilah, Fahs-Anjra, Kenitra, Sidi Kacem and Taounate, during the period from Friday at 1 a.m. to Saturday at 10 a.m., concludes the bulletin.
