Update from April 20, 2024 at 9:54 a.m.: The latest forecasts from Météo France are more measured regarding the wind gusts expected this Saturday in Marseille: instead of 105 km/h as expected yesterday Friday, peaks are finally announced at 75 km/h.

The wind has been blowing strongly in Marseille in recent days and it will get even worse this Saturday, April 20, especially in the followingnoon.

Gusts of wind up to 105 km/h are in fact expected, according to Météo France forecasts. The Phocaean city and Bouches-du-Rhône are placed in yellow vigilance.

Up to 105 km/h expected in gusts

Significant gusts of wind will hit Marseille this Saturday. According to the latest forecasts of Meteo Francethey will in fact reach peaks of 105 km/h.

In such a situation, several precautions should be taken into account:

– Remain vigilant of possible falling objects,
– Limit your speed,
– Store or secure objects sensitive to the effects of wind or likely to be damaged,
– Do not work on roofs, do not under any circumstances touch electrical wires that have fallen to the ground,
– Be careful in the forest or on the coast.

No more than 17 degrees this weekend

On Sunday, the wind will blow less strongly, even if gusts up to 80 km/h are planned. These violent winds will obviously influence temperatures: they will not exceed 17 degrees this weekend.

Good news, however: the sky will be bright blue… and this trend is not regarding to change, even next week.
