Regarding Koller’s commentary on wealth tax (SN, February 28): It’s always the same story when it comes to wealth tax. The picture of the “middle class” that would have to pay wealth tax for their house is painted on the wall. There are umpteen models that rule that out. It is undisputed that wealth is taxed at the lowest rate in Austria. The labor factor might also be relieved through the introduction of a wealth tax. The one does not exclude the other.
