Weak investigation hangs UK rape cases – World

Over 20 rape cases have been investigated in the UK. The main reason for this is that the concerned authorities have assigned many other responsibilities to the investigators of rape cases.

According to a report of the British newspaper The Guardian, the Inspectorate of Constabulary has expressed serious concern in this regard.

The agency, which operates under a royal decree, says that officials tasked with investigating multiple incidents of rape against women and girls have now been tasked with security at football matches and music concerts. As a result, the investigation process has been adversely affected.

Like the rest of the world, things have not been easy for women in Britain. In addition to violence and indecency, incidents of harassment and abuse are increasing. In such cases, the process of investigation is very important as there is a risk of destruction of evidence in case of delay. This is the reason why judiciary directs speedy investigation in such cases.
