“Air Haifa”, the new Israeli airline, will receive the first plane at Haifa International Airport at the end of July.
The new airline, which is in the final stages of the process of receiving the operating operator’s license from the Civil Aviation Authority and upon completion of the licensing process, which is expected during the month of September, will begin selling tickets and operating commercial flights from Haifa.
For the launch, “Air Haifa” reveals its branding for the first time and announces that the first plane in the fleet will land in Israel at the end of July 2024. The first plane in the fleet is a completely new plane, a model ATR 72-600 with 72 seats. It will take off from Blagnac Toulouse Airport in France and land at Haifa International Airport.
“Air Haifa” was established by a group of Israeli entrepreneurs, headed by Nir Tzuk, founder of Palo Alto Networks, Gonen Osishkin, Lior Yavor and Miki Strasburger, former El Al executives. The new airline will operate regular flights with high frequency, throughout the year, from the international airport in Haifa to Eilat and to a variety of destinations in the Mediterranean basin and the surrounding area.
The company is in the final stages of the process of receiving the operational operating license from the Civil Aviation Authority, this following receiving a commercial operating license last September from the Minister of Transportation Miri Regev. Upon completion of the licensing process, which is expected during September 2024, the company will begin selling airline tickets and operating its flights from Haifa.
