We will not forgive Russia for targeting Ukraine

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky vowed to hold Moscow accountable for its attack on his country, and stressed that his people would not forgive the Russian authorities for targeting Ukraine.

Zelensky said: “We will not tolerate destroyed houses.. We will not forgive.. the missiles that were shot down by our air defenses today.. and more than 500 missiles targeted our territory. All over Ukraine.. they targeted our people and our children.. We will not tolerate the targeting of civilian citizens. destroying our infrastructure.

Earlier, Zelensky announced that Russian missile strikes destroyed the Vinnytsia airport in central Ukraine on Sunday.

“I have just been informed that missile strikes have targeted Vinnytsia,” the Ukrainian president said in a video via the Telegram app, adding that “the airport was completely destroyed.”

Subsequently, the Russian Defense Ministry confirmed these strikes.

“The airport of the Ukrainian armed forces was destroyed with high-precision and long-range weapons,” said ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov.

Zelensky took on Western countries their refusal to impose No-fly zone over Ukraineand its refusal to deliver combat aircraft to Ukraine.

“We repeat that every day: close Ukraine’s airspace, close it to Russian missiles, Russian fighters and all these terrorists,” he added.

He continued, “We are human beings, and it is your humanitarian duty to protect us. If you do not, if you refuse to give us at least planes so that we can protect ourselves, we can only conclude one thing: you also want us to be slowly killed!”

Macron calls Ukraine’s president

In a related development, a statement issued by the office of French President Emmanuel Macron stated that he had made a phone call on Sunday with his Ukrainian counterpart Zelensky, during which he informed him of the content of his call earlier today with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

In the call with Putin, Macron stressed his concerns regarding the possible imminent attack on the Ukrainian city of Odessa and the importance of finding a negotiated settlement to the Ukrainian crisis and protecting Ukraine’s nuclear facilities.
