Re-elected at the head of the Democratic Convention of African Peoples (CDPA) at the end of a congress held by the party this Saturday, March 11, 2023 in Lomé, Ms. Brigitte Adjamagbo-Johnson reaffirms her determination to continue the fight for alternation politics in Togo, and win the next elections.

“Togo deserves better! Let’s help liberate it by strengthening our tool, the CDPA”: this is the theme of this 7th congress which mobilized delegates from this opposition political formation, from all regions of the country.

In her fight for political change in Togo, Mrs. Adjamagbo-Johnson re-elected for a new term of five (05) years, once more sent a message to other opposition actors.

“To liberate our beloved Togo, the gold of humanity, we must now break out of the incantations and tell ourselves that the liberation of Togo is not the business of a providential man, nor the business of a party. , it is the result of constant and sustained work which liberates”, indicated the president of the CDPA.

“(…) we now know at the CDPA that to contribute effectively to the liberation of our country, our indignation alone is not enough. We must reconnect with the organization and the method that our founders bequeathed to us,” she added.

She also indicated that she was given a mandate to prepare and mobilize all party members in view of the upcoming elections (regional and legislative).

“To win the elections, you have to prepare. We will find intelligent solutions to win future elections, ”said the one who had been a candidate in the 2010 presidential election.

It should be recalled that Ms. Adjamagbo-Johnson is also the coordinator of the Dynamique Mgr Kpodzro (DMK), the grouping of opposition parties (including the CPDA) and civil society organizations that supported the candidacy of Agbéyomé Kodjo in the 2020 presidential election.
