Only following he entered the course to Lev Dodin at the St. Petersburg Academy of Theater Arts. For 16 years he has been serving at the Maly Drama Theater, where he began with the Young Studio.
Danila became widely known thanks to the cinema. In this area, he works as an actor, director, screenwriter, producer. He managed to play in more than 50 films. The most notable roles are, perhaps, “Borman” in the fantastic drama “We are from the Future”, Max Andreev in “Duhless”, Valery Kharlamov in “Legend No. 17”.
Kozlovsky criticized the special operation in Ukraine. But he categorically denies accusations that he left his country at the most difficult moment for her.
“I never had any second citizenship. Here, in Russia, are my teachers, my theater and, most importantly, my audience, to whom I am grateful for their support and love. It is important for me to try to do something good, bright and kind. No matter how naive it sounds now, ”says the actor and director.
“I have a child in America”
The handsome Kozlovsky has a rather confusing personal life. Today, many associate his name with his colleague, the rebel Oksana Akinshina. The actors themselves do not confirm or deny anything. They just often appear together in public.
Danila was officially married only once. Ursula Magdalena Malka was the name of Kozlovsky’s wife. She is of Polish descent. Ursula is also an actress. She is six years older. She dreamed of children, and Danila’s career was just unwinding. They filed for divorce three years later.
The child was presented to Kozlovsky by another woman and without any stamp. Actress and model Olga Zueva is known to a wide audience for her role as a rehabilitation doctor in the film “Coach”, which Kozlovsky shot as a director.
A very unusual and elegant girl lived with Danila for several years in an actual marriage. Three years ago, she gave birth to his daughter, who was given the beautiful name Oda Valentina.

“In America, I have a child whom I want to see and participate in his life, like any normal, loving father. The fact that I left for the United States for several days between performances does not give grounds to say that I “escaped” from Russia.
“I will continue to work in my country”
One of Kozlovsky’s main critics today is Vitaly Borodin, head of the Federal Security and Anti-Corruption Project. It was at his request that Danila became the object of a check by the prosecutor’s office.
“Write denunciations to the prosecutor’s office, knock, organize a witch hunt, practice hatred in Telegram channels and other media – none of this has anything to do with patriotism,” the actor is sure.
He even tried to file a lawsuit for the protection of honor and dignity. True, the court eventually left the paper without movement. It looks like the document wasn’t quite right.
Judging by the MDT website, Danila is currently playing roles in three performances included in the theater’s repertoire. He is Ferdinand in “Deceit and Love”, Lopakhin in “The Cherry Orchard”, plays the title role in the production of “Hamlet”.
“I am not going to give up, and as long as possible, I will continue to work in my country. The most important thing in difficult times is to stay human. So let’s be them. We will always have time to slide into the final madness,” Danila calls.
In 2023, work on two new films in which Kozlovsky plays the main roles should be completed. This is a continuation of the mystical series “13 Clinical” and the comedy “Fire Zhora”.
